EMDD UNIVERSAL Diamond Drilling is a leading member of the Drilling and Sawing Association and was the first in its field to be accredited with Quality Assurance and, more recently, Investors in People. The company operates from its own purpose built administration centre and workshop facility, which is located in Central England close to the motorway network. In order to maintain an efficient ser

vice, it runs a fleet of 30 modern vehicles, each equipped with permanent communication and satellite location and control systems. EMDD Universal offers a nationwide service employing a highly skilled direct labour force which is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All of our 50 site staff are trained to a high level of competence and hold CSCS certificates. Our management and supervisory staff is a highly technically competent team and together with our site operatives, is able to offer a complete controlled demolition and waste management works package.

✅ We recently carried out some stitch drilling to form an opening in a wall for this client.

Stitch drilling is an effective method of removing concrete under closely controlled conditions. This is a technique where our drillers drill a series of overlapping holes, usually around 107mm in diameter, which can then be used to form any shape or size of opening through any thickness of reinforced material.

St George’s Park – The National Football Centre
With football fever in full swing, we’ve been looking back at one of the landmark projects we were proud to be part of; St George’s Park, the home of English football.

Completed in 2012, this £105m world-class centre of excellence was built on a 330-acre site in the heart of the National Forest and includes 12 full-size training pitches, state-of-the-art medical and science facilities, two Hilton hotels, and one of the largest indoor pitches in the world, a full-size replica of the Wembley surface.

As a long-standing sub-contractor to Bowmer & Kirkland Ltd, EMDD Universal Diamond Drilling were proud to support this iconic development from the early stages of site preparation through to completion ahead of its royal opening in July 2012.

Our team used diamond cup grinding to reduce the floor screed to the required level ahead of final floor installation, with dust extraction in place to maintain a cleaner working environment.

The operative is equipped with a powered air respirator helmet - part of our ongoing investment in advanced PPE and the wellbeing of our workforce over the past seven years.
