Help progress a treatment for Dry Eye.

Having successfully demonstrated the clinical potential of a new treatment which improves moderate-to-severe Dry Eye symptoms, Aston University Eye Clinic is again seeking adults aged +18, diagnosed with moderate-to-severe Dry Eye Disease, to take part in a further evaluation to assess the effectiveness for long-term relief of symptoms.

Candidates will receive a free consultation at Aston, in central Birmingham, and if suitable for treatment, will be offered a free treatment to be evaluated over 3-months. A payment will be made to contribute to time / travel.

Help develop a treatment for dry eye. Aston University Eye Clinic is seeking adults aged 20-80 diagnosed with dry eye to take part in a clinical study. Research study participants will help advance the treatment of dry eye to provide long-term relief of dry eye symptoms, and will be reimbursed based on £30 for each of up to six visits.

NEW data on outpatient treatment of Persistent Corneal Epithelial Defects (PEDs) with Omnigen® with OmniLenz®, demonstrated that Amniotic Membrane-Derived Dry Matrix (AMDDM) is an efficient treatment for PEDs.

Last month saw the publications of a clinical paper by Mohamed Elalfy et al. on the management of PEDs with an in-depth exploration into the impact of human AMDDM as a method of treatment.

The cohort study of 84 patients were treated with Omnigen applied using OmniLenz as a delivery method in an outpatient setting.

Traditionally, the use of amnion for the treatment of Pterygium has delivered mixed outcomes. However, early data presented at the using Omnigen is encouraging for specific classifications of pterygium. The study shows Omnigen reduces surgical time, reduces inflammation and accelerates recovery. Further clinical studies will now explore this in more detail.
