Things are stacking up nicely at Unifabs!

Earlier this month, we shared the arrival of our new 6 kW AMADA REGIUS-3015 AJe fibre laser cutting machine, and the Amada UK team has been busy getting it installed.

Now, the next piece of the puzzle has arrived. Charles Russell Transport have delivered the ASF II 3015 EU automated loading system, which will work alongside the new laser to automate material loading and unloading, helping us make the most of the additional laser cutting capacity.

The delivery team made light work of offloading the equipment and manoeuvring all the components through the door 😬 By the end of the day, the tower was taking shape, thanks to the teams from AMADA and Charles Russell Transport.

There’s still work to do before everything is fully installed and operational, but we’re getting closer. We’ll share more once the new laser and loading system are up and running. Congratulations to Wiesław Suchocki on reaching a fantastic milestone: 10 years with Unifabs! 👏

Wiesław started out in basic CNC work before moving into press brake bending. Today, he continues to develop his press brake skills, learning to set up jobs on our range of bending machines. Over the years, he’s built up a broad understanding of our manufacturing processes and is always happy to get involved wherever he’s needed.

His precision, attention to detail, conscientious approach and versatility continue to make him an integral part of the team, and we’re delighted to celebrate this milestone.

Congratulations, Wiesław, and thank you for everything you’ve contributed over the past decade!

Blue skies, sunshine and a brand-new laser. What more could you ask for! ☀️

Our new fibre laser cutting machine arrived today. The 6 kW AMADA REGIUS-3015 AJe is the latest step in our ongoing investment in laser cutting capacity, joining our existing REGIUS alongside our other laser and punch-laser equipment.

Delivery of the loading tower will follow shortly, with installation and commissioning taking place over the coming weeks. We’re excited to see it all come together and put the new equipment into action.

We are excited to share that another machine is coming to Unifabs, and it’s arriving next week!

We are adding a second 6 kW AMADA REGIUS-3015 AJe fibre laser to our manufacturing facility in Nuneaton.

As we approach 20 years of manufacturing, reinvesting in our business remains important to us. By continuing to invest in technology, equipment and our people, we can keep developing our capabilities and continue to support our customers from design and manufacturing to finishing and delivery.

Last year, we expanded our manufacturing space and invested in an AMADA EML2515 AJP punch-laser combination, followed by further investment in a laser welding cell.

Now, the EML will be joined by a new REGIUS.

The new laser will also be paired with an ASF II 3015 EU automated loading system, providing automated material handling to support the additional laser cutting capacity.

We’ll be sharing more next week as the delivery and installation by Amada UK gets underway.

Five years ago, we installed our first Salvagnini panel bender. A second one followed in 2023.

Since then, we’ve learnt a lot about where automated panel bending can add value, from reducing the number of components and secondary operations to improving consistency across repeat production.

Advanced manufacturing technologies like automated panel bending create new opportunities, but the machine itself is only one part of the solution. Getting the best from automated panel bending depends on understanding the product, the design and the wider process.
