Oh Dear, here we go again. It falls to me to explain to yet another home owner that the roof they’ve paid thousands for must be condemned. Not only do un-nailed interlocking tiles not meet Building Regulations and likely render your house “unsellable” but they also present a significant danger to life and property.
As I drive around my local area I see many re-roofs, often conducted by Facebook prominent companies, which clearly don’t meet Building Regs.

Please choose a fully vetted NFRC member with Competent Roofer status, you might pay a bit more but you’ll be assured that the thousands of your hard earned will go into a fully compliant roof with a Building Control Certificate (compulsory on re-roofs),rather than a crook’s back pocket.

From this to this.
Multiple layers of old metal sheeting, felt roofing and strammit (straw) decking removed from a factory unit. Replaced with bright white liner panels, 250mm post and rail system and anthracite profiled top sheets.

Bilbrook Junior Football Club, Wolverhampton. New pavilion built by Harper Ltd. ACSAP completed the roof in the summer consisting of built up metal roof system- liner trays, Ashgrid rail system and profiled top sheets complete with contrasting flashings and rainwater goods

We recently completed a project for St Peters Church, the nave, and south and north aisle roofs of this Grade 1 listed 13th Century church were stripped and re-tiled with their original handmade tiles.

The battens and tiling to the nave of this 14th Century Grade II listed church were in state of collapse when ACSAP were asked by Christopher Thomas Architects to take on the re-roofing. WATCH this space for the completed project information and pictures!
