With the temperature dropping and your heating starting to be used now, is your boiler WINTER ready?

✅ Boiler annual service? Has your boiler been serviced?
✅ Boiler pressure - if you are constantly topping up your pressure it could be an indication of a leak or a failed component within your boiler.
✅ Radiators - have you checked your radiators for leaks and cold spots?
✅ Thermostat - if you have a thermostat with batteries, replace them so you know they will last the winter.
✅ External condense pipe - is it insulated? If it is, have you checked the insulation is in good condition and where it terminates, is clear of leaves and debris after the recent storms?
✅ Carbon monoxide alarm - do you have a carbon monoxide alarm installed? Have you checked it’s working? If not, replace it.
✅ Gas meter - if you’re on a prepayment meter, make sure you keep enough money on to stop your boiler locking out and not working.

This is why servicing is so important. Poor maintenance and lack of servicing on this Vaillant lead to internal condense hose leaking into the Plate heat exchanger causing it to split and leak. Part replaced and upgraded condense hose fitted.
