Dover Roller Shutters was established in 1954 and was the original manufacturer world wide of aluminium roller shutters for use on fire engine trucks. It established itself as the premium supplier of roller shutters to fire departments and emergency services providers throughout the world. Vanguard Shutters Ltd was established in 1971 supplying roller shutters to truck body builders for delivery v

ans and trucks. Over the years Vanguard also developed products for architectural markets including steel and aluminium roller shutters. In 2004 Austral Monsoon Industries Pty Ltd, a privately owned Australian based multinational, purchased the Dover Roller Shutters business and in 2005 acquired the Vanguard Roller Shutters business forming Dover Vanguard Roller Shutters Ltd (DVRS). The Dover Roller Shutters business was relocated to Vanguard's premises in Coldhurst Street, Oldham, England. In 2007 the Oldham premises were expanded doubling production floor area and a new administration office was constructed. A significant capital expenditure in new machinery was also undertaken in 2007 and 2008 including the addition of a powder coating paint line and rolling mills for Slat and Guide Track production. In 2007 DVRS acquired Force 1 Shutters a roller shutter emergency repair and maintenance business that operates in the Manchester area. In 2008 DVRS acquired the AGD Shutters business a manufacturer of architectural roller shutter products. Both businesses have been amalgamated into the Oldham premises. DVRS is capable of delivering a wide range of roller shutter and other door products for commercial, industrial and domestic applications. It provides a full range of services including installation of its products, 24 hour emergency repair and product maintenance. The AM Group operates a range of manufacturing companies in Australia, USA and UK. Group products are broadly based on commercial and industrial building products and doors for truck body and trailer markets.
