Steel vs Spirit are very proud to work alongside the Founder and Chairman of The OppO Foundation, and one of the supports and beneficiaries of our special event - Mr Kayam Iqbal.

Kayam’s journey is one defined by resilience, service, and reinvention.

Starting his career in the Armed Forces as a medic, he built his foundation on discipline, structure, and a commitment to helping others. After his time in the military, Kayam transitioned into entrepreneurship, channelling his experiences into building ventures focused on opportunity, support, and social impact. Rather than being defined by challenges, he used them as fuel to create meaningful change for others, particularly around employability, wellbeing, and second chances.

Today, he continues to be associated with initiatives that inspire resilience, empower individuals, and bridge gaps between potential and opportunity.

An unforgettable evening celebrating service, sport, and community 🥊⚓

At the heart of the night is a special boxing showcase featuring the Royal Marines, Royal Navy, and some of Merseyside’s top amateur boxers - honouring the region’s proud boxing heritage and the shared values of discipline, resilience, respect, and pride.

Guests will enjoy a black tie dinner, ceremonial traditions from the Royal Marines and Royal Navy, distinguished attendees from across military, civic, and sporting communities, plus a charity auction supporting community initiatives.

The evening will also feature the formal presentation of The Charter for Military Service Leavers, reinforcing our commitment to those who have served.

Enhancing Durability, Ensuring Performance: P&G

Client: P&G
Project: High Strength Epoxy Resin Surfacing
Location: Manchester

Task Contract Solutions Ltd was tasked with repairing and reinforcing a damaged concrete surface at P&G’s Manchester facility using a high-strength epoxy resin system. The project focused on restoring the surface to optimal condition while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations. Key components included precise surface preparation, the application of a damp-proof membrane, and the installation of a durable multi-layer epoxy resin finish.

Key works included:
🚧 Surface preparation with dustless concrete planing equipment for precise and clean removal.
🚧 Application of a high-performance epoxy damp-proof membrane to seal and protect the surface.
🚧 Installation of three layers of high-strength epoxy resin for a durable, seamless finish.
🚧 Thorough quality assurance, including surface inspection and final cleanup for immediate use.
