A hidden wasp nest inside a vent boxing can do a fair bit of damage before you even know it's there. These photos show the nest itself and the destroyed internal ducting.

Yes, we’re a maintenance company.
But a big part of what we do is pest proofing.

And proper proofing isn’t about filling holes.
It’s about using the right materials, in the right places, based on how the building is put together.

This is a good example.

Expanding foam has been used to block this gap.
On the surface, it looked sorted.

In reality, it’s one of the most common mistakes we see.

Rodents chew straight through it.
In some cases, they’ll even use it for nesting.

Proper proofing is different.

We look at how the pest is getting in.
We look at the structure behind it.
Then we seal it with materials that actually stop them.

If the problem keeps coming back, it’s usually not bad luck.
It’s bad proofing.
