A lot of people only see the finished jobs and the good days, but the truth is the last few months have been extremely challenging in every area.

Without these lads, I honestly don’t know how I’d have got through it. Proper salt of the earth blokes — hardworking, loyal, and always there when needed. They’ve been a real rock for me through some tough times.

Grateful to have a team like this around me, not just workmates but good people as well. ❤️💪

A great use of space on this recent project completed by DM Stairs 🔨
The area where this staircase now sits was originally an inbuilt cupboard space. As part of the customer’s loft conversion, the cupboard was carefully removed to form the opening. Then we measured, designed, manufactured and installed a brand new bespoke staircase to create proper access to the new loft room.
These types of projects take a lot of planning to make everything work naturally within the existing house layout — but the finished result looks like it’s always been there 👌

We were brought into this project after being recommended to take over the staircase package on a large house-to-apartment conversion. The original stair contractor had unfortunately left several issues behind, with poorly installed staircases that were not fit for the required standard.
After assessing the project, DM Stairs worked closely with the client to redesign, manufacture, and install a series of bespoke staircases — including complex double winder staircases that also formed part of the structural layout of the first floor.
It’s always rewarding to receive feedback like this from our customers:

“D M stairs were recommended to me by an associate, I had taken over a refurbishment job of converting a house into apartments. The previous stair contractor had attempted to make and installed 2 of the 7 staircases we require, they were not installed properly and of poor quality. James came to have a look and I could tell straight away this guy knew what he was on about [some of the staircases are not straight forward with double winds and form part of the structure of the first floor]. So far he has made and installed 3 of the 7 staircases we require, with the other 4 are now on the bench in the workshop and will be fitted over the coming weeks as and when we require them. James and his team are very knowledgeable not only about the stairs but the construction of the building that their stairs fit into. The quality of the product is very good and at a competitive price, the fitting team have done a great job of fitting the stairs very clean and tidy.”

Another custom project completed by DM Stairs

This one was built from scratch and finished with wrapped MDF panelling to give it a clean, modern look without the high cost of solid materials.
The framework was all custom built on site, then wrapped and finished to create a durable, hard-wearing counter area that looks smart and is built to last.
We don’t just do staircases — we also take on bespoke joinery, counters, media walls, storage units and interior fit-outs.
