buildings out of local materials which are healthy to live in and blend naturally with their environment.

Kevin McCabe Ltd, based in Ottery St Mary, is looking for a full time labourer, either on an employed or self-employed basis, to join our hard working team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in many varied projects across Devon, including Di**le Dell which has featured on Grand Designs. Experience is preferable, but not essential. It was a pleasure to be asked to repair a cob extension we built 25 years ago, it is amazing how resilient the cob surface has been all this time, although we would recommend now, the application of a lime render to the main southwest weather facing side.

Pleased with the slate roof covering on our pizza oven and outdoor fireplace.We were able to nail each slate directly in to the cob, using slightly longer nails than normal, keeping it simple (apart from a lot of slate cutting) and saving timber.
