Vacancy – Quality Assurance Inspector

We are currently recruiting a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our friendly, open and supportive, fast paced, customer driven team which is always looking to innovate, develop and improve what we do, creating an opportunity for you to develop and grow your career with us.
As the Quality Inspector you will be responsible for Product Quality
Key Responsibilities:
• Visual inspection of all production machines to predefined visual standards.
• Conducting dimensional tests in accordance to prescribed test methods and product specification.
• Notifying the shift Manager of all issues pertaining to product quality or food safety.
• Ensuring non-conforming product is segregated and documented.
• Ensuring that all Back-checks are conducted to prevent non-conforming goods are conducted.
• Ensuring all testing equipment used has been identified with calibration details.
• Keeping the lab and general working area tidy at all times. •
• Entering all quality dimensional information into the Infinity system.
• Raise non-conformance alarms on the Infinity system
• Conduct and record leak and metal test results
• Ensuring all packaging is to specification
• Ensuring proper use of the CMM machine
• Assist Quality Manager in problem solving and or failure investigations
• Notifying the Quality Manager of any quality and or safety issues •
• Ensuring the oncoming shift inspector is fully briefed on all issues on shift changeover
• Any other duties required by the Quality Manager
Experience and qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completion
• Attention to detail and good follow through with a high level of accuracy
• Ability to work towards deadlines
• Ability to act on own initiative, working alone or in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels of the organisation.
• Relevant experience working with measuring equipment in the manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
• Experience in the use of CMM would be an advantage.

• Minimum starting salary of £11.50 (Actual salary agreed upon experience)

• Current shift patter is 41.66 hours per week on average, 6-2, 2-10, 10-6, Monday – Friday, however this may change back to Monday afternoon to Saturday afternoon.
