Twenty years later, so much has changed, yet meeting familiar faces still brings back the same warmth and joy. 💚 Deeply grateful for these wonderful educators who were part of the early chapters of my journey and who have continued to cheer me on, support me, and stay connected through the years. ✨

A packed auditorium is always special, but the real joy is when students begin to question, challenge and think with you. ✨

What a deeply special experience delivering “Future Starts Here… Becoming the Engineer the World Needs!” to 800+ multidisciplinary engineering students at the brilliant College of Engineering, Thalassery as part of their induction wrap-up.

It also felt like a homecoming, reconnecting with my teachers Nithya Akhil and familiar faces from almost 20 years ago, when I was once a student beginning my own engineering journey. 💛 Rinitha Parikkal, Preetha Pushparaj

The wonderful students made the session truly memorable, with questions that continued for nearly 1.5 hours: from emerging technologies, gender disparity in engineering and the future of women in STEM, to building entrepreneurial cultures in universities, co-curricular learning and beyond.

A beautiful reminder that induction is not just about starting an engineering degree. It is about helping students see the kind of engineers they can become: curious, confident, socially aware, innovative and ready to shape the world around them.

Well done and all good wishes to Mr Akhil Chandran, Dr Umesh P, Principal, Prof. Vinod Pottakulath and team for leading such wonderful student-focused initiatives. My special gratitude for the kind invitation and warm hospitality during this insightful visit.

Day 4 at SRM Institute of Science and Technology 🛠⚙️✨

Ending the week by getting back to what engineering is really about : curiosity, tinkering and figuring things out!

Loved watching students take things apart, discover what’s inside, rebuild, troubleshoot… and ask, “Can we make this better?” 💡

A fun, hands-on Repair Café + Deconstruct to Discover to wrap up an incredible few days at SRMIST ❤️

Some friendships begin with work and somehow grow into conversations about everything else. ❤️

A lovely brunch catching up with the lovely Nat, discussing engineering, belonging, social responsibility, love and life… with plenty of laughter in between and mutual gifts to cherish our time together. 🥰

The kind of conversation and friendships that fills both the mind and the heart. ✨

Day 3 at SRM Institute of Science and Technology ✨ | Education Cafe

Some of the best conversations about education happen when we simply talk, listen, question and reflect together.

Loved sharing this space with Dr Vandhana Devi V, NITTTR Chennai: exploring what needs to change in education, what needs to stay, and how we make innovation meaningful while staying grounded in reality.

Made even better by the energy of the SRMIST faculty in the room! 🌱

Cheers to associate professors, Dr Lavanya A and Dr Divya Navamani for creating this wonderful space for conversation and reflection.

Day 2 at SRM Institute of Science and Technology SRMIST ✨

A stimulating session with faculty across disciplines from Engineering to Mathematics, and Medicine on Beyond Teaching: Designing Impact Across Pedagogy, Practice and Policy.

Really enjoyed sharing the conversation with the Head of the Teaching Learning Centre at IIT Madras exchanging perspectives, challenging assumptions, and exploring how we can move beyond good teaching towards meaningful, system-level impact.

Because transforming education is rarely about one classroom or one intervention; it’s about how pedagogy, practice and policy come together.

Day 1 at SRM Institute of Science and Technology: An energising session with 200+ final-year multidisciplinary engineering students on “Innovating the Present, Shaping the Future.” ✨

Loved the curiosity in the room, from AI and future careers to clean energy, entrepreneurship, higher education and what it really means to be an engineer in a changing world.

Well done to SRM University professors Dr Lavanya and Dr Divya for creating such meaningful opportunities for students to engage, question and imagine the futures they can help build.

18 years later, so much has changed, yet some friendships still carry the warmth and familiarity of where it all began. So lovely to reconnect with my best school friend after all these years... ❣️✨
