⚖️ A lot of people think we're waiting for an energy 'tipping point', where we have the right tech to power the world with renewables.

In reality, we already have all the right technologies and techniques, but we're just not deploying them effectively.

☀️ Solar, wind and hydro plants combined with effective battery storage could power the entire world whilst covering under 1% of ice-free land - and that's with the technology as it is now.

2️⃣ Countries in Africa are on track to install a record 17GW of solar power in 2026, a 45% increase on last year. This new capacity could generate 23TWh of clean energy.

3️⃣ 14.4% of all electricity generated in the UK in July came from solar panels, smashing the previous record set in May!

🫅 Looking at our Ray Valley Solar Park today, you might not immediately think of Roman soldiers or Saxon monks, but that is more or less what the history of the site hides.

🌊 Our Sandford Hydro plant is now a famous character on the Lasher Weir.

It's been generating clean electricity since 2017, and it's generating even more this year thanks to solar panels over the turbines.

🐟 It's not just about energy either - the pass next to the hydro means that fish can move up the river for the first time in 400 YEARS!
