The project will mean;

πŸ“‰ Less clean energy we're generating is wasted.
πŸ«‚ More community support (100% of our surplus funds more community action).
🏑 1,100 additional homes powered for four hours at peak demand.

If you can, please do consider being part of it.

πŸ“° Oxfordshire County Council has launched a public consultation on a new draft policy for community benefit contributions and shared ownership of clean energy projects.

We’re asking everyone in our network to take part, to make sure as many viewpoints as possible are represented.

πŸ—£οΈ The consultation includes some technical questions, and it's absolutely fine to skip any that don't feel relevant to you. Your views on the questions you can answer are what matter.

πŸ’₯ It's another Mythbusting Monday! This is one we (understandably) hear a lot in the UK.

Locally-produced food and materials are crucial to combating the effects of climate change, so it's important that renewable energy generation and agriculture can thrive in harmony.

πŸ‘ From grazing livestock under panels to encouraging pollinators back to the area, there's actually a huge amount of opportunities to explore in the 'agrivoltaics' sector.

And even if you set agrivoltaics aside: meeting the UK’s entire solar target by 2050 would use less than 0.4% of UK land, roughly half the space currently taken up by golf courses.
