*Swim (3.4km): A tidal crossing of Loch Torridon starting at 5:00 AM. Athletes face deep, cold Atlantic waters (often around 10°C–12°C) and significant jellyfish populations.
*Bike (202km): A scenic but unrelenting ride through the Highlands with approximately 2,200m of elevation gain. It is notorious for strong, buffeting winds and driving rain.
*Run (42km): A mountain marathon that includes ascending two Munros (mountains over 3,000ft) in the Beinn Eighe range. The route involves over 1,600m of climbing on highly technical, rocky ridges.
