Role Overviewi
• Position: Trainee Construction Assistant / Bricklayer’s Labourer
• Location: Penrith, Cumbria (and surrounding areas)
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday (standard site hours)
• Salary: Competitive (based on age and experience)
The Role
Working directly alongside our experienced tradespeople, you will get hands-on experience in high-quality brickwork, stonework, and home extensions.
• Assisting with the movement and preparation of building materials (bricks, blocks, mortar).
• Learning how to handle and use basic construction tools and equipment.
• Keeping the work environment clean, tidy, and adhering to strict health and safety standards.
• Gaining practical insight into reading construction plans and building techniques.
What We Are Looking For
• No prior professional experience is needed, but a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Ability to work outdoors in all Penrith weather conditions.
• A reliable, punctual team player who can follow instructions.
• Eagerness to eventually progress into a full masonry or construction apprenticeship.
