Our new build Samson is coming on nicely,with the roof on,inlay solar installed,it’s now time to get rendered and the exterior fully completed.
A big thank you again to Anthony Tonkin roofing for a top job and Dylan Courtney at my side to get the rendering on those walls.

Another project recently completed.
Here we were asked to complete a design and build package by the owners of Cape Cornwall Golf Club.
We were set the challenge to incorporate the golf course down on the dated sunset terrace.
This was achieved with the use of artificial grass,then the formation of concrete bays to break up the hard standing areas.
The front reception was also given a facelift,with a porcelain tiled path and slate chipping border,panels of concrete a few planters for some palm trees.
We also provided the new seating and tables constructed from sleepers to give ample outdoor dining.

This was a traditional lime pointing job completed at the end of last year.
This old farm cottage needed some attention as it was suffering from water ingress in many areas.
The new chimneys were built a couple of years ago,which had all of the necessary leadwork installed.
This recent phase involved the digging out of the cement pointing and re pointed with the appropriate lime mortar allowing the building to breathe.
A good tidy up of the rear lean to gable and a new slate roof to finish off.
Another tidy job by Anthony Tonkin roofing and Dylan Courtney managing the re pointing.

Last week the San Jose project had its zinc cladding completed.
The sleek,ultra modern twist on the existing Cornish granite house now stands proudly looking out over mountsbay.
The team from AMR have done an amazing job here and were a pleasure to work alongside of.
With the building being completely sealed,we’re now able to press on with the internal features and finishes.

Nice to get back on the trowel after the Christmas break.
With the San Jose project awaiting its external cladding finish in a few weeks,we’ve had a good couple of days on a nice little new build.
Big thanks to AT Wearne and sons on the ground works and getting the site prepped for us to crack on!
Hopefully we’ll be water tight in February🤞
Setting up some indoor work for this frosty and wet weather is a necessity!🥶

Following on from the last post,we were extremely lucky with some dry weather for linking the new flat roof into the existing house.
Plus all of the new extension roof work and exterior walls prepped for its final covering of zinc cladding.
What a huge amount of work involved bringing it up to this point.
Really glad to have the place protected from the elements before Christmas!
And on that note, a merry Christmas and happy new year to everyone from Build-it!

More work completed this year on our on going renovation in Marazion.
This phase included a bespoke kitchen made to suit the quirky lines in the property.
A new LVT floor covering throughout the ground floor and new wc,plus a new master en-suite.
The rear patio needed some attention for drainage plus a cleaner and usable space for bbq’s and outdoor entertaining.
We are looking forward to the next phase on this one!

Here’s our first project for Helen Brooks completed earlier this year.
It was a single storey extension on a property in Pendeen with wonderful views of Geevor mine and the north Cornish coast.
The design and positioning of the extension maximised the surrounding landscape and flooded the new and existing areas with lots of natural light.
Although we experienced a number of major storms,we completed the project to a high standard and the clients were very happy with the final results.
A massive thank you to all of the tradesmen involved,especially Dylan Courtney for his hard work and efforts from start to finish.

Just over 12 months ago I started a small project at home.
I had been looking at garden rooms on social media for some time and decided to do my own bespoke room to suit the garden.
My brother John Davies (JD)
helped me get things started by digging out and pouring the concrete foundations on a boiling hot summers day.
He worked like an absolute Trojan and could see what I had in mind for the project.
Unfortunately in this 12 month period we lost my much loved big bro😢
So as a tribute to John I am naming this JD’s garden rooms.
They can be built to many specifications and finishes,plus create a wonderful space to enjoy outdoor living experience.
