Are you living in Cornwall and worried about rising energy bills? Did you know you might be eligible for Solar PV or Solar hot water system?

Qualifying residents in Cornwall now have the opportunity to receive funding to install a Solar PV that will generate free electricity or a Solar thermal system which will heat your hot water.

To receive the funding your household income must be below £30,000 OR there must be someone living in your home who is in receipt of benefits.

The thermostat should be set to the lowest comfortable temperature, typically between 18°C and 21°C. You don’t need to turn your room thermostat up when it is colder outside; the house will heat up to the set temperature whatever the weather.

Room thermostats need a free flow of air to sense the temperature, so make sure they’re not blocked by curtains or furniture, and keep them away from heat sources.
