High-intensity warfare conditions need high-performance infrastructure.

We recently partnered with the British Army’s 21 Engineer Regiment during Exercise Iron Titan on Salisbury Plain to provide a rapid-deployment logistics hub.

They needed a structure that could be erected quickly without welding, blend into the environment and withstand whatever the elements threw at it. We delivered a 12m wide x 12m long relocatable Zappshelter engineered to permanent building codes, proving that temporary doesn't mean weak.

Team Zapp enjoyed an absolute feast for lunch today, courtesy of two fantastic local suppliers: Papa's Loaded Fries and Mains of Errol Fruit Shack (W Glen & Son).

We love to champion and support the hard-working businesses right on our doorstep, and these two just can't be beaten!

Safe to say, the team left the table with full bellies and needing an afternoon nap. Production might have slowed down for an hour, but team morale is through the roof!

Meet 'The Bull'!

When we were looking for a mascot to represent Zappshelter, the choice was obvious. The Land Rover Defender is an icon of British engineering. It’s rugged, dependable and built to take a beating in the harshest environments.

Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Just like our shelters, The Bull doesn’t do fluff. It protects what matters - no matter the weather, the site or the challenge.

That no-nonsense attitude is exactly why we are officially launching our new mantra alongside this beast:
"Cut the BS, Follow the Bull™"

You'll be seeing this everywhere in the very near future, from our videos, to bumper stickers and baseball caps.

We are officially bringing The Bull to Hillhead this year - the perfect opportunity to see it in the flesh (and grab some of that fancy new merch!)

Strap yourself in ... this is a long one - but it may save your bacon!

No matter which side of the fence you sit on - the reality is EV heavy machinery use is rapidly increasing on sites across the UK.

The EV heavy machinery sector is currently valued at approx $12.77 billion.
Analysts project 21.4% year-on-year growth in 2026. Europe is aggressively scaling up, aiming to reach nearly 15,000 units sold annually by 2030.

A recent article from the team at Scania Group really hit the nail on the head: electrification in construction is moving far beyond the 'pilot project' phase.

Why the shift? It's driven by tightening emissions regulations, procurement mandates, lower total cost of ownership and advancing battery technology.

Companies are investing millions into EV machinery and high-voltage battery systems, only to leave the charging infrastructure exposed to the elements.

Doing this degrades expensive equipment, poses safety risks and can even void your warranties.

If you're making the EV transition, temporary covered charging hubs are now a non-negotiable.

Keep your equipment dry, protect the battery life and ensure your site stays safe and compliant.

We’re bringing back one of our favourite Zappshelter traditions: naming every single shelter.

Giving them a name is our way of acknowledging the care and engineering that goes into every one of them.

But we have a problem. Our demo Zappshelter - the boss of the yard - is currently nameless.

It needs a strong identity to sit alongside Brian and Allan (his smaller counterparts).

This is where you come in.
