First section of work complete on this old farmhouse in kingscliffe.

Old pointing removed to a depth of at least 25mm and repointed using a light lime mortar to match the stone.

A recent repoint job completed on this nearly 200 year old cottage in Langtoft, Lincolnshire.

The customer had chopped off nearly all of the render and failed pointing which had been causing his property damp issues.

I repointed the living room area using a lime mortar to help the house with the moisture going forwards.

I also rebuilt the window reveals using like for like stones and rebuilt the fireplace pillars using matching bricks.

We carefully removed the existing cement pointing to a minimum depth of 25 mm on this 16th century cottage in Yarwell. The joints were then cleaned and repointed using a traditional lime mortar.

As this is a 16th century cottage, lime mortar was used because it is breathable and flexible, allowing moisture to escape naturally and accommodating slight movement in the building. This helps to preserve the historic stonework and prevent damage caused by trapped moisture.

Another stonework transformation completed with 🪨

This boundary wall had failed cement pointing removed and replaced with a traditional lime mortar, allowing the stonework to breathe and protecting it for the future.

A section of this 17th century property brought back to life using lime mortar.

The old cement was chopped out along with old broken stones and replaced with like for stones and then repointed using a lime mortar.

Another look at this repointing job completed in Kings Cliffe for Miles BrickWork.

The old paint and cement pointing was removed. We repointed using a lime mortar.

Several broken stones were chopped out and replaced with stones from an old wall on this property.

A restoration job completed this week for Miles BrickWork on this 17th century bakery in kings cliffe.

The old paint and failed pointing chopped off, broken stones chopped out and replaced with stones from a wall that was taken down on this property. The entire area was then repointed using a lime mortar to allow this old building to ‘breathe’.

Failed cement and lime pointing chopped out and repointed with a lime mortar on this sauna and steam room wall.

Bricks dug out of the ground and replaced with new gravel.
