As the sun sets on our 2025 working calendar, we’ve had a final push this week to get a couple of projects successfully handed over. 🌅

One project in particular has been an absolute pleasure to deliver – creating a new building for a local charity, providing a space fit for purpose so the local food pantry can continue the amazing work they do for the community.

It’s projects like this that remind us why we do what we do. A big well done to everyone involved and thank you to the charity for trusting Watson Barrie Ltd to be part of something so worthwhile. 💙

Bad weather may have put a grinding halt to our current extension build this year, but it gave us the perfect opportunity to pull forward this little project — just in time for Christmas 🎄

This hallway renovation is now complete and ready for the finishing touches. The works included:
✔️ New LVT flooring
✔️ New skirtings and architraves
✔️ New doors to the lounge, cloakroom, and kitchen
✔️ A smart, functional under-stairs storage solution

All wrapped up and ready for the customer to add their own splash of paint and personal style. A great example of making the most of time, space, and a change in plans.

Another tidy job completed by Watson and Barrie.

There are bricklayers… and then there is our bricklayer. 👏

We receive so many comments about the exceptional quality of Jason’s work – not just from our clients, but from passers-by who stop to admire it too. His attention to detail and craftsmanship truly set him apart.

Jason is an incredibly talented man who can turn his hand to far more than just laying bricks and blocks (even if he still thinks and acts like he’s 25 😄).

We are very, very lucky to have him as part of the Watson and Barrie Ltd team, and we value him more than he will ever know.

What a transformation! 🔨

This project has been a real pleasure from start to finish — and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

We’ve opened up the space with steels, created a modern open-plan kitchen and dining area, and fitted everything new: kitchen, flooring, electrics, boiler, heating, and LVT floors.

It’s an absolute beauty! 😍
