Last week, a number of our colleagues volunteered to help Langdyke Countryside Trust preserve nature in Peterborough. This involved planting trees, hedgerows, and bluebell bulbs.

All the trees and wildflowers our colleagues have planted are locally found and will provide food and shelter for hundreds of different types of insects, birds, and mammals.

Well done, team and a big thank you to Mike Horne from Langdyke for the fantastic arrangement and for hosting us on the day.

Good luck to our colleagues who are volunteering with Langdyke Countryside Trust today, an environmental preservation and conservation charity in Peterborough and surrounding areas.

Langdyke Countryside Trust works with local landowners to find new locations where they can add a variety of native wildflowers, trees, and hedgerow species to increase biodiversity over the next few years.

This work means they will be adding vitally important habitats where the local wildlife can thrive for decades. Stay warm team!

We're proud to announce the completion of one of our latest SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) projects, Newbridge School in Essex.

This project emerged after the local Redbridge Council recommended the creation of 140 new SEND school places across the region. Collaborating with Lungfish Architects, our offsite team delivered energy-efficient educational modular buildings, creating an inspiring learning environment.

Throughout this full turnkey project, we minimised disruption to the teaching environment, while ensuring our modular design offers flexibility, which means it allows for easy expansion in the future.

Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to ensure the project was completed on time and within budget, providing a warm and welcoming environment for pupils, teachers, and carers.

We have recently rolled out a series of ESG and Sustainability workshop sessions with our operative colleagues in our depots.

These comprehensive sessions have equipped our colleagues with basic knowledge and insights into sustainable practices, how to spot greenwashing, and, more excitingly, to receive their feedback and reflect on their own actions towards the environment.

One of our colleagues said: “The whole topic was very thought-provoking, and I am guilty previously of considering things based on cost savings alone. I will think about things in more detail and strive to do more. I will also be encouraging the sales team to discuss more about our sustainability items with clients where possible.”
