Things we love to see….

One of our customers kindly shared their energy statistics with us after the amazing weather we’ve had the past couple of days and it we wanted to share with our followers so you can see the results for yourselves!

Over this 2 day period our customer has:

* Only paid their daily standing charge
* Served the homes full consumption first
* Topped their battery fully up
* Exported 71.7kWh back to the grid at 12p per kWh
* Earned £8.60 on export payments
* Made a net profit of £7.50 on their electricity after standing charge payment

At this run rate (£3.75 per day), this customer can expect a monthly net PROFIT of £116.25!

Lovely day to officially hand over our latest commercial installation to Willen Hospice in Milton Keynes.

This project will make a real difference to the hospice, helping reduce long-term energy costs so more funding can go towards the incredible care and support they provide to patients and families in the local community.

This 63.7kWp installation compromised of 137 x 465W solar panels powered by 2 powerful inverters.

Alongside the solar we also previously installed 5 x 22kW EV chargers to support a more sustainable future for the site allowing them to move to an electric van, whilst offering charging out to their patients and visitors.

A great project we are extremely proud to have been a part of, and a big thank you as always to our partners at for their collaboration throughout

Part 2! Following on from our post yesterday of our double header, here is the commercial install we carried out for our customer.

We installed an 11kWp system made up of 24 465W Panels powered by a Fox Inverter.

This customer also had an electric van, so we installed a 7kW Project EV charger, allowing them to divert an excess solar generation directly into the van… saving even more money!

Quick update on our Willen project we shared recently…

We’re making great progress on site with 2 roofs now fully panelled, another 2 are hooked and railed, and a fifth roof is getting hooked and railed today.

Everything’s moving smoothly and we’re right on track to finish ahead of schedule

Another successful commercial installation completed a few weeks ago

We installed an 82kWp solar PV system for Nisa Southfields Drive store featuring 152 x 540W panels. These were mounted using Van der Valk’s flat roof system & paired with a high performance 100kW FoxESS inverter.

This system is projected to deliver annual savings of over £13,000, with the customer expecting a full return on investment in under 3 years… a strong example of how solar continues to make financial as well as environmental sense.

After more than a year in the making, it’s great to finally see this project come to life. Even better that the Sun is shining…. The views aren’t too bad either!

We’ve just begun installation on a 63.7kWp solar PV system, featuring 137 x 465W panels paired with 2 SolarEdge inverters. This system has been carefully designed across multiple arrays to maximise available roof space and overall performance.

By incorporating SolarEdge optimisers, each panel can operate at its full potential, boosting output, improving system visibility through detailed monitoring, and making ongoing maintenance more efficient and proactive.

This one hasn’t been straightforward, with planning permission delays stretching the timeline, but seeing progress on site makes it all worthwhile. Looking forward to bringing this system online soon.

⚡️ Dual Property Solar Install Complete ⚡️

We’ve just wrapped up a fantastic project for a customer with two properties neighbouring each other - his home address and his in-laws property.

Main Home Setup 22 x 465W panels - Installed across garage and main house roof  12kW Sigenergy inverter 3 x Signenergy 10.0 giving 27kWh of battery storage
 Being a higher energy user (12,000kWh annually), this system is designed to significantly cut energy bills while maximising self-sufficiency.

Second Property 20 x 465W panels
8kW Sigenergy Inverter 1 x Sigenergy 10.0 - 9kWh battery storage
 A lower usage household (2,000kWh annually), but now set up to store what they need and sell excess energy back to the grid.

Two properties, same street, each with very different requirements.

Last August we completed this solar installation for a bowls club based in Leicester, the club is ran by volunteers so their main goal was to reduce operating costs.

The system was designed to maximise the available roof space and blend in neatly with the buildings aesthetic, while delivering renewable energy to support the club’s goal… call us biased but we think this one looks fantastic!

With the green being right next to the clubhouse, we even got to take in a match while working on this one and we had the best seats (scaffolding) in the house!

We visited the site again last week for a 6 month performance review, checking how the system has been operating since installation. It’s always great to return to our projects and make sure everything is performing exactly as expected.

We’re currently analysing the data and will be sharing the performance results soon, including how much energy has been generated and the impact it’s already making.
