TAKING SCAFFOLDING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Another successful access solution completed by the Skill team for Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service at both Middlemoor Fire Station in Exeter and Greenbank Fire Station in Plymouth.

The project required a bespoke scaffold design, along with the supply and installation of a fully compliant scaffold system to facilitate the safe installation of solar panels at the station. The project included bespoke beam work, engineered access scaffolding and a full edge protection handrail system to ensure safe working at height throughout the installation process.

Working within a live operational environment, safety, structural integrity and minimal disruption were key priorities from start to finish. All works were carefully planned and coordinated to ensure minimal disruption to the movement and operation of the fire engines throughout the project.

Scope of works included:
• Scaffold design and installation
• Custom beam work support
• Edge protection handrail system
• Safe rooftop access for solar installation
• Full compliance inspections and certification
