10 years ago today, someone joined Obedair who has had a massive impact on the development of the business and the people around it.

Ashleigh Gascoigne joined as an apprentice administrator and has worked her way through to being the heartbeat of the office as Office manager.

As someone who wasn’t in construction previously, it’s been great to attract talented people to the industry and see them grow.

Ash receives her 10 year anniversary polo top and a brucie bonus as a small token of our appreciation!

Here’s to the next 10 years Mrs Gascoigne!

Yesterday, Carl visited in Cornwall to deliver an interactive construction workshop alongside Hannah from H***e Lea, Jamie from Co Create Architects and Ben from Currie & Brown. The session provided a great opportunity to showcase the wide range of careers within the industry and introduce students to the exciting world of construction, design and engineering. It was inspiring to engage with young people and encourage interest in future careers across the built environment sector. A fantastic day filled with creativity, collaboration and learning!

What a week for Obedair!

We kicked it off with another trip to London for the national CCS awards where we picked up our award for 45/45 over two visits at our project Plessey Semiconductors Ltd.

Our 9th award in 3 years and great to be able to celebrate with most of the project team. Also very proud to be the only Plymouth contractor outside of the Tier 1's to be recognised.

Work already in place for next year as we have got quite used to the hospitality in the brewery in sunny April!

🎯 Obedarts Tournament – April 2026 🎯

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our very first Obedarts Darts Tournament on Tuesday! We’re incredibly grateful to all the teams who entered and to those who kindly donated raffle prizes - your support made the evening truly special.

We’d also like to extend a massive thank you to Legends Darts Lounge for allowing us to use their fantastic venue and for providing food and refreshments throughout the evening. Your hospitality helped make the night a great success.

It was a brilliant event filled with great energy, friendly competition and plenty of laughs. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised well over £1,000 for Help for Heroes - an amazing achievement for our first tournament.

Another trip to London and another national award! So proud to be the only non tier one contractor from Plymouth being recognised with our 9th Award in 3 years!
