70 Years young!

A common saying at Obedair “you don’t get many Aubrey’s to the pound!” and it was an absolute pleasure to present Aubrey Poole with his 70 year commemorative polo top yesterday.

Aubrey started working with our MD 20 years ago when he joined Morgan Sindall as an agency tradesman. He very quickly got employed and they worked together for a number of years.

When he was let go, he gave Carl a call at Obedair and asked if there was anything going. He said he had work for him through the summer and that was 11 years ago!

An absolute gentleman who is a master of many trades and we can honestly say we have never had a snag or defect on any of his work.

Still going strong and has the energy of a guy half his age and it’s been a pleasure working alongside him over two decades.

Was great to celebrate with him and the team at Obedair and know he was made up to see so many faces celebrating his birthday.

Nothing short of what he deserves and look forward to the next milestone as he shows no sign of letting up!

As Obedair grows we continue to recognise those who are celebrating milestones with us.

Therefore we had pleasure in giving Alexander Doyle his 5 year polo top and bonus in recognition of this achievement. Alex has been a big part of the commercial team since joining us in 2021 and we look forward to supporting him as he works towards completing his degree.

Here's to the next 5 years Alex and looking forward to seeing you rocking the 5 year jersey on site!

✨ Charity Tuesday ✨

Thank you to all those who attended Obedair's first annual Obedarts Event in April. Collectively, we managed to raise an incredible £1839.48 for Help for Heroes. The money raised helps to provide vital, lifelong support to UK Armed Forces veterans, those still serving and their families.

5 years ago Obedair welcomed Joe Wheeler to the business, having joined in a surveying role initially and has grown with the business helping develop our systems and growing our commercial staff. Now leading the commercial team with his newly achieved RICS status, its been a busy 5 years! Congratulations and here's to the next 5!

10 years ago today, someone joined Obedair who has had a massive impact on the development of the business and the people around it.

Ashleigh Gascoigne joined as an apprentice administrator and has worked her way through to being the heartbeat of the office as Office manager.

As someone who wasn’t in construction previously, it’s been great to attract talented people to the industry and see them grow.

Ash receives her 10 year anniversary polo top and a brucie bonus as a small token of our appreciation!
