At the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, Britain falls silent.
In offices, schools, and streets across our nation, we pause - united in remembrance. The familiar sight of red poppies dotting lapels across the country carries a weight of history that began in the muddy fields of Flanders.
As Big Ben chimes eleven, and the Last Post echoes across cenotaphs and war memorials, we don't just remember the fallen - we honour their legacy by working towards the peace they fought to secure.
"At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them."
