🌧️ RAIN? WHAT RAIN? 🌧️

The weather might have other ideas, but at Trade Bank we keep pushing forward.

Today marked the start of a very exciting restoration project at a truly iconic property, and despite the downpour we got straight to work bringing these outdoor spaces back to life.

✅ Circular paving areas professionally power washed and treated with Sodium Hypochlorite to remove years of organic staining, algae and surface contamination.
✅ Timber decking stripped back using Sodium Metasilicate, lifting old coatings, dirt and weathering from deep within the grain, ready for the next stage.
⏭️ Next up: Oxalic Acid treatment to brighten and restore the timber before protective oils are applied.

❓ Can anyone tell us why we use Sodium Metasilicate on timber but Sodium Hypochlorite on paving?

(Hint: one cleans and prepares wood without damaging the fibres, whilst the other excels at destroying organic growth on hard surfaces.)
Every project has a process. Every stage has a purpose.

🚧 The Start of Another Full Transformation Package! 🚧

Back-to-back concrete today as the team continues to push projects forward at full speed.
A big thank you to SR Property Maintenance, who joined us on site to assist with the installation of a new concrete base and the reinstatement of compromised coping stones.

Experience, knowledge, and a solid work ethic are all attributes that Sam brings to every project, and it was great to have him on board.

Meanwhile, the landscaping team cracked on with the next phase of our full garden transformation and installed the big surprise... a stunning 4sqm limestone feature area laid in a herringbone pattern. A true showcase of Chris Large's skill, precision, and years of experience.

Days like today remind us that great projects are built by great people. Massive thanks to the whole team for the hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering the highest standards.

🚧 COMMERCIAL CONCRETE REPAIR COMPLETED 🚧

Another industrial floor brought back up to standard by the Trade Bank team.

This section of warehouse flooring had deteriorated significantly under constant forklift traffic, creating a potential safety and operational issue. Rather than applying a temporary patch, the failed concrete was fully broken out, excavated and replaced correctly.

✅ Defective concrete removed
✅ Area prepared and cleaned thoroughly
✅ Reinforcement mesh installed
✅ Poured using C35 concrete
✅ Finished level with surrounding slab
✅ Constructed to withstand ongoing commercial forklift use

🌴 From Jungle to Blank Canvas! 🌴

What started as a true Jumanji-style garden has now been transformed into a huge open space ready for its next chapter.

After working closely with the customer, we decided to retain a stunning palm tree which will now become the centrepiece of the entire design. The next phase will see bespoke decking carefully built around the tree, alongside a brand-new patio area to completely transform this outdoor space.

At Trade Bank, we believe every project starts with a vision, and this one is shaping up to be something special.

Another outdoor space brought back to life by the team at Trade Bank.

This area was professionally cleared and treated with commercial-grade herbicide by fully PA1 & PA6 licensed and insured operatives to target unwanted w**d growth and help keep the area clear long term.

Stage 1 complete ✅
Now the countdown begins for Stage 2 over the next 10–14 days while the treatment takes full effect. Once ready, we’ll be carrying out a full professional power wash and chemical treatment to restore these surfaces back to a bright, fresh and like-new finish.

But we’re not stopping there… 🌿
Once the blank canvas is ready, we’ll then be introducing some new life back into the space. Creeping thyme will be one of the big hitters amongst a selection of beautiful flowers and planting to soften and transform the area naturally. Decorative stone upgrades, fresh slab pointing, fencing, pergolas and much more can all completely change the feel of an outdoor space.

Anything is possible once you have a blank canvas to work from.
