πŸ† MYDUCTWORK RACING DEPARTMENT: WE HAVE A CHAMPION! πŸ†

Matthew takes the 2026 NG Road Racing LRA Moto UK Junior Series title!

What a way to finish the season! After a year of highs, lows, challenges and plenty of learning, Matthew (M47TRacing) is crowned the first Champion of the 2026 NG Road Racing LRA Moto UK Junior Series (UKJS)!

It's been an incredible journey for Matthew and the whole MyDuctwork Racing Department. We've watched him grow in maturity, develop his racecraft and improve his skills every time he gets on the bike. All that hard work has paid off, and we couldn't be prouder!

Our final round at Oulton Park with NG Road Racing

Qualifying: Pole position despite a spill!

Qualifying got off to a dramatic start in cloudy, wet conditions. Matthew set a fantastic 2:05.312 to take P1, 0.356 seconds ahead of Wilson Dilks, with Taylor Tomlinson third.

There was a heart-in-the-mouth moment when Matthew suffered a fall, but thankfully he'd already done enough to secure pole position! A brilliant lap at exactly the right time.

Race 6: A hard-fought second place

With brighter skies and a drying track, Race 6 proved another challenge over six laps. Matthew battled his way to P2 in 12:02.529, finishing just 1.203 seconds behind the winner Dilks.

Matthew's fastest lap was 1:57.830, while Dilks recorded the UKJS fastest lap at 1:57.216. Another strong result and more valuable experience in the bag.

Race 15: Finishing on the top step!

The final eight-lap race took place in cloudy, damp conditions, and Matthew delivered the perfect end to the season!

Starting from his qualifying position, Matthew kept his focus under pressure as Wilson Dilks, who had started from the pit lane, charged through the field with impressive pace.

Matthew crossed the line in P1 with a time of 16:23.614, taking the race win by 3.857 seconds. Dilks recorded the fastest lap, but Matthew secured the victory and gave MyDuctwork Racing Department the perfect reason to celebrate.

Full credit to Dilks for a strong ride!

A season to be proud of

This championship is about more than trophies and race results. It's about the progress Matthew has made throughout the year β€” learning from the tough moments, building confidence, maturing as a rider and pushing himself to improve every time he rides.

It's been a proper rollercoaster of a season, but Matthew's determination and development have shone through. To finish with a race win and the championship title is a fantastic reward for all the hard work.

A huge thank you to our sponsors, supporters, family and friends, and everyone who has helped MyDuctwork Racing Department along the way. Your support means everything!

Matthew came into the year as a rising star. He leaves it as a champion β€” and we can't wait to see what comes next!

βœ… A clean kitchen extract system should come with proof.

When your kitchen extract system is cleaned by MyDuctwork Ltd, you do not just get a cleaner canopy. You get a documented audit trail.

Every job we complete includes:
πŸ“‹ A Post-Clean Verification Report (PCVR)
πŸ“ Wet Film Thickness Test readings confirming grease has been removed to specification
πŸ“Έ A full photographic record showing before and after condition
βœ… Independent audit through the BESCA Vent Hygiene Register (VHR) scheme

That documentation is what demonstrates your compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and applicable food hygiene legislation when your insurer, fire risk assessor, or environmental health officer asks for it.

πŸ”₯ Is your kitchen extract truly compliant?

TR19 Grease cleaning is not just a hygiene task. It is part of your fire safety and legal compliance duty.

If your reports do not show clear evidence, measurements, and audit-ready records, your system may not stand up to scrutiny.

🏁 ONE FINAL ROUND TO GO… 🏁

What a weekend at Donington Park Race Circuit! πŸ”₯

After a fantastic first visit to Donington Park with NG Road Racing, Matthew (M47TRacing) and the whole team came away with three wins from three LRA Moto UK Junior Series races, including a win in the wet and another in the dry, along with P2 in qualifying and the fastest UKJS lap in Saturday's race.

It was a proper team effort from start to finish. New circuit, changing conditions, plenty of learning and some seriously close racing, but everyone played their part and Matthew delivered when it mattered. πŸ’ͺ🏍️

Now our attention turns to the final round of the season at Oulton Park on 10th October.

There's still one more weekend to go, and we're heading there with one goal: finish the season as strongly as we possibly can.

Let's see if we can bring a little more silverware home for the trophy cabinet… πŸ†πŸ˜‰

A huge thank you, as always, to everyone who makes this possible. Our sponsors, supporters, friends, family and everyone behind the scenes. We genuinely couldn't do it without you.

One final push. πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯

WHEN THE CHEAPER QUOTE ISN'T A CHEAPER CLEAN

A w**e bar and restaurant got in touch about kitchen extract cleaning - no record of it ever being cleaned.

The canopy and fan could be cleaned as-is. But three sections of ductwork had NO access doors fitted - no way to reach the internal surfaces:

πŸ”§ Canopy to riser
πŸ”§ Riser to fan
πŸ”§ Fan to discharge

To clean properly needed access doors (our work), builder's hatches through plasterboard (client's builder), and a safe working platform for the fan-to-discharge section.

We quoted for shifts, doors, platform. They went elsewhere - "other quote more cheap and less complicated."

HERE'S WHAT WE LEARNED

The other contractors who quoted are ALSO BESCA VHR registered. Same badge.

VHR registration confirms competency. It does NOT tell you whether their quote includes the remedials - access doors, builder's work, and platform needed to reach and clean internal ductwork surfaces. Two VHR members can quote the same job differently. We don't know what the others quoted; they may have included the same remedials. The badge alone doesn't say which.

BESA TR19 Grease is the widely recognised industry standard for kitchen extract cleaning. It requires cleaning ALL internal surfaces - not just the canopy and fan. No access doors = no way to reach the internal ductwork. The remedials are the job.

THE QUESTION TO ASK ANY CONTRACTOR

"How will you clean the internal ductwork that currently has no access doors?"

If the answer doesn't include fitting them, the scope doesn't cover those surfaces - credentials or not.

Under the RRO 2005 and food hygiene law, building operators must keep kitchen extract systems safe. TR19 Grease is how that's demonstrated in practice.

πŸ“‹ Where does your legal duty for kitchen extract cleaning actually come from?

It is a common misconception that BESA TR19 Grease is a legal requirement. It is not. TR19 Grease is BESA guidance, and BS 9999 is guidance too.

The legal obligations for fire safety in non-domestic buildings come from the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Obligations relating to grease extract cleaning also arise under food hygiene legislation.

BESA TR19 Grease is the widely recognised industry standard used to demonstrate how those legal obligations are met in practice. There are other ways to evidence compliance, but TR19 is the benchmark most insurers, assessors, and auditors recognise.

At MyDuctwork Ltd, we work to BESA TR19 Grease specification and back every clean with:
βœ… Post-Clean Verification Report
βœ… Wet Film Thickness Test readings
βœ… Full photographic record
βœ… Independent audit through the BESCA VHR scheme

Can your kitchen extract pass an audit? πŸ”

Grease build-up is not just a cleaning issue. It can affect fire safety, compliance, and your audit trail under BESA TR19 Grease, BS 9999, and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

At MyDuctwork Ltd, we document every clean with a Post-Clean Verification Report, photos, and certification. That gives facilities managers and H&S leads verifiable proof, not assumptions.

πŸ”₯ Is your kitchen extract truly compliant today?

TR19 Grease, BS9999, COSHH and HSE obligations all matter. A clean canopy is not enough if the evidence trail is weak.
