Electrical Maintenance Engineer Vacancy

A small, well-established family run business currently looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our service team in South Wales! Customers include Restaurants, Hotels, Public Houses, Care Homes, and other hospitality environments.

You will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, fault-finding, and installation of a wide range of commercial catering equipment. Experience with Rational ovens and commercial dishwashers is highly desirable but not essential as full product training will be given.

As approved Rational Service Partner for South Wales, we Install and maintain the full range of Rational Ovens, both in and out of warranty. We also look after Rational’s key account customers which include Wetherspoons, Nandos, Wagamama and KFC amongst others.

Duties and responsibilities
• Service, maintenance, and repair of commercial catering equipment.
• Installation and Commissioning of single items of equipment.
• Field based position.

Working Hours
• 40 hours per week (Door to Door)
• Monday to Friday, 8am–4.30pm (flexible)
• Regular optional overtime

Experience and qualifications
• Electrical background
• Hands on experience
• Full UK driving licence - Essential
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills

The Person
The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in the catering industry, but an ideal opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Electrician or similar looking to broaden their horizon by taking a step into the Service Industry.

Due to continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer for the catering industry.

The job will entail undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on all types of gas and electric commercial catering equipment on our customers sites, along with occasional installation of single items and full scheme kitchens.

Skill’s & qualifications we require :
Minimum Com Cat 1 / 2 / 3 and 5
Have experience of fault finding, servicing, repairs and installation to current industry regulations.
Good electrical background
Good communication skills
Reliable and conscientious
Full driving license

Pay negotiable based on experience and qualification
Job Type: Full-time

As we go into the new year now is a good time to give our website a bit of an uplift with the introduction of an online store, also visible on our page. Store is now live, initially just a few appliances but it will be fully populated over the coming months.

There is a category labelled “Reconditioned Appliances”. Not something we normally do much with but currently we have quite a few appliances in the workshop in need of servicing, Once completed they will be added to the Online Store. They are there as a one off, once they’re gone, they’re gone. Prices are for purchase only with free local delivery. If you prefer, we can install them for you, I’m sure we can agree to a very competitive price.

In the meanwhile, if you do require something that’s not in the store give the office a call and we can quote you accordingly.

Get your gas appliances serviced, tightness tested and certified keeping you legal as far as Gas Safe regulations are concerned. From £100's per small bottle, to £1000's. This is due to steps to reduce further damage to the Ozone layer. Be ahead of the game and have it removed and replaced for a cheaper alternative!
