Solar power only costs around 5 to 6 cents a kWh to produce, making it a no-brainer to run as much of your home as possible off solar power!♻️☀️ So yes.. solar power is definitely worth it! ... If you don't use the power as it is generated it is either fed off to the grid and you will get paid a small amount for this from your energy retailer or you can collect the excess energy on a battery and use it at a later date!⚡️

Research has shown that solar cells are more effective if they are in layers of up to four. It allows them to harness up to 46% of the sun's energy instead of the 18% of standard panels. However, this type of panel is proving to be too inconvenient and expensive for commercial use. The solution could be provided by the latest innovation in solar technology. Solar fabric is incredibly thin and lightweight compared to a standard photovoltaic panel.

But most importantly, solar fabric is flexible. It can easily be used on domed or circular structures. Other uses include awnings over doorways, tents, and window shades. Kenya Installs the First Solar Plant That Transforms Ocean Water Into Drinking water!💧☀️

Kenya in a village named Kiunga, they managed to install a solar-powered desalination system. This system transforms ocean water into drinkable water and can produce enough water for 35 000 people per day (around 70 thousand liters)!♻️☀️Before this, the inhabitants of Kiunga had to travel one hour each day to reach a water source, but it was one used also by animals and full of parasites. Such improvements, like Give Power’s initiative, are constantly needed as according to the World Health Organization, there are still 2.2 billion people around the world who do not have access to drinking water and 4.2 billion can’t access safely managed sanitation services. Solar power is the best option!

UK solar PV installed capacity at the end of 2017 was 12.8 GW, representing a 3.4% share of total electricity generation.⚡️♻️
Provisionally, as of the end of January 2019 there was a total of 13,123 MW installed UK solar capacity across 979,983 installations. This is an increase of 323 MW in slightly more than a year. Derry Newman, chief executive of Solarcentury, argues that the UK's famously overcast weather does not make it an unsuitable place for solar power, as solar panels work on daylight, not necessarily direct sunlight. Some solar cells work better in direct sunlight, others can use more diffuse light. While insolation rates are lower in England than France and Spain, they are still usable☀️♻️

The UK has expanded its total solar PV capacity to 14 GW by installing up to 175 MW of capacity during the first quarter of 2021, according to data released by Solar Energy UK. The 175 MW deployed by the UK is equivalent to supply some 3 million homes using renewable energy!🏘♻️☀️
