Another manic time in the workshop. Mitsubishi L200 inner sill repair. Network rail base post to be shortened. Nissan van with the rear axle hanging off due to axle mount corroded and snapped new one fabricated and underneath sealed and saved from the scrapyard. Still stupid amount in the workshop but I’ll get there eventually.

Not enough hours in the day with the amount of work but luckily I enjoy my job. Exhaust silencer repaired for Ridgways Coaches. New flexi on a Ford transit custom and aluminium intake modified for D.J. Thomas Coaches. NPT Handyman new van feeling abit poorly more go in a flat bottle of pop 😂 turbo seized and intake pipe split. New turbo and pipe fitted and he’s back on the road quicker than ever to help all of his customers. Fiat Ducato motorhome in for a tow bar to be installed but unfortunately they no longer make a kit for this so chassis extended type approved tow bar installed and wired up now the customer can tow his car and leave his motorhome in one place instead of packing everything up all the time. Will be in the workshop Sunday afternoon to play catch up again.

Glad this week is over between my grandads funeral then a piece of metal stuck in my eye hopefully next week can go back to normal but always in the other end of the phone to keep businesses going. Call out on Sunday afternoon for CT Lewis Ltd chain on hydraulic leg snapped last thing the driver needs is this falling and hitting them. New chain and mounts fabricated and welded into place ready for Monday morning start.

💥EXCITING NEWS💥

B&C welding are now fabricating custom stainless steel exhaust systems.

First customer had a Nissan juke Nismo RS with a back box delete but the original exhaust was corroded and split, so the they opted for a custom cat back 2.5” stainless steel system with stainless steel back box and to finish it of with a 4” carbon fibre slash tip. Sounding nice customer was extremely happy with the drive home.

Glynneath forest

IHI digger arm severely worn internal sleeve snapped, pin hanging out and in the middle of the forest.

Cleaned both arms, re-sleeved and cleaned pin, re-secured and welded everything into place and greased all pivots and it’s back to work.

This week has been a struggle in this heat but we survived. Busy couple of weeks again loads of campers in for welding repairs saved a Ford transit from being scrapped as someone else said it was beyond repair. Couple of services. CT Lewis Ltd cab wheel arch repair and there Ford transit es**rt vehicle for a new still, alloy wheel for crack repairs and repair a 12 meter security gate at Port Talbot docks for NEWGATE Nottinghamshire thank you to CT Lewis for lifting and refitting the gate and a big thank you to Ceri Cook for operating the crane in this heat.

Really busy week and even harder with this hot weather this was a big and fun job Nissan Navara came in with the chassis cracked and corroded. Brought the vehicle in the workshop and the vehicle snapped in half 🤦‍♂️ luckily it didn’t happen while the customer was driving. Removed the tub and on further inspection and the rear half of the chassis was completely rotten away. New rear half chassis section fabricated with extra structural supports for the two sections of chassis to be welded.
