At SAM NI, we're recruiting for a 𝗖𝗡𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 to join our 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 at our Portadown site.

You’ll receive full training to operate 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machines and manufacture precision aerospace components from aluminium and titanium. Previous CNC experience is desirable but not required.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲:
🔵 Preparing and loading raw materials and parts onto CNC machines
🔵 Reading blueprints and engineering drawings
🔵 Translating instructions into CNC machine commands
🔵 Monitoring machines and making adjustments when needed
🔵 Measuring and inspecting finished components
🔵 Carrying out preventative maintenance checks
🔵 Finishing component edges using hand tools
🔵 Completing process sheets, NCRs and job cards

We can’t believe it’s already the final day of Farnborough International Airshow 2026. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand and spoke with our team throughout the week.

What a great day we had yesterday on the Invest Northern Ireland stand, speaking with aerospace businesses about complex CNC machining, sub-assembly production and long-term manufacturing support.

𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗔𝗠 𝗡𝗜

Yesterday, we welcomed the Cancer Focus Northern Ireland Wellbeing Van to our site for the first of two visits.

Our team had the opportunity to speak with trained staff, ask questions and access useful health and wellbeing resources in a relaxed setting.

Our team received free, personalised 15-minute body composition checks covering:

🔵Height and weight
🔵Body fat and body water percentages
🔵Visceral fat
🔵Muscle and bone mass
🔵Basal metabolic rate (BMR)
🔵Metabolic age

The Health Promotion Officers also shared tailored lifestyle advice and information on cancer prevention, screening programmes, common signs and symptoms, and stop-smoking support.

The Wellbeing Van will return to our site on:

In 2022, we installed Northern Ireland’s first Flexible Manufacturing System line for CNC machinery.

The investment marked a major milestone for SAM NI and set a new benchmark for advanced manufacturing in the region.

We’re pleased to share that the raffle raised £352, bringing our total raised for B Positive to an incredible £4,116. Thank you to everyone who supported.
