Here’s another industry-standard axial fan casing running through our CNC flanging machine.

Manufactured from 1.5 mm galvanised steel, this 710 mm diameter casing has its fl**ge formed before the fixing holes are punched accurately around the PCD.

Completing both operations on the same machine helps us maintain consistent fl**ge dimensions and hole positioning across production batches.

We already have the tooling in place for standard 710 mm casings.

Here is a closer look at the final forming stages of a specialist component manufactured from just 0.5mm-thick copper.

The component is mounted over dedicated tooling before its curved profile is developed by hand through a series of carefully controlled spinning passes.

How can a stainless-steel disc help remove air from liquid?

This five-off batch of de-aeration spigots was hand spun from 1mm-thick 316 stainless steel in our Portsmouth workshop.

The curved profile allows liquid to spread across the surface as a thin film inside a vacuum de-aeration system. This increases the exposed surface area, helping trapped and dissolved gases escape and reducing the amount of air within the processed liquid.

It is a specialist application produced using traditional hand metal-spinning skills.

A behind-the-scenes look at a bespoke aluminium seating component taking shape through hand metal spinning.

Made from 2 mm aluminium, the component measures approximately 360 mm in overall diameter × 220 mm deep.

The material is gradually worked over the tooling using controlled pressure and repeated forming passes to achieve the required profile.

50 brass domes. One urgent deadline. ⚙️

Before our shutdown, a customer needed 50 brass domes for a nightclub feature wall by 4 August.

Each dome was metal spun from 1mm brass to:

📐 200mm diameter
↕️ 35mm deep

The normal production window couldn’t meet the required date, so the customer approved a premium overtime shift. We completed the full batch before closing and the deadline was met.

We’re currently closed for planned maintenance and reopen on Monday 10 August. Enquiries can still be submitted through the link in our bio.

These 150mm spigots were CNC metal spun from 1.2mm galvanised steel, before being cut, deburred and prepared as part of a 100-piece production batch.

This timelapse shows the complete CNC metal spinning cycle for a batch of 100 components produced at our Portsmouth workshop.

Each part is formed from 1.2mm galvanised steel, using controlled CNC spinning passes to achieve a consistent and repeatable profile for an HVAC customer.
