Today, Anni Cooter represented GRP Solutions at Unloc's Changemaker Alliance event, hosted at the incredible Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth.

Bringing together organisations from across different sectors, the event explored how businesses can better mobilise employees to create positive social impact within their communities.

Alongside hearing leadership insights from Commodore Rosenberg, Naval Base Commander at HMNB Portsmouth, attendees had the opportunity to share ideas, exchange best practice and learn directly from young changemakers about the difference that meaningful engagement can make.

As a business, we're always looking for ways to create a positive impact beyond the products and services we provide. Events like this are a valuable opportunity to learn from others, strengthen partnerships and explore how we can work together to maximise our collective efforts for social good.

A big thank you to Unloc and CEO Hayden Taylor for bringing together such an inspiring group of people and for continuing to create opportunities that help businesses, communities and young people make a lasting difference.

A huge congratulations to Freddie Rose on scoring his first century for Halstead Cricket Club. 🏏💯

The milestone was made even more special for his dad, Justin Rose, one of our Sales Managers, who was at the other end when Freddie reached three figures.

GRP Solutions recently became a sponsor of Halstead Cricket Club, a club that means a great deal to Justin and his family, so it's particularly nice to see Freddie enjoying such a memorable year.

It's been a pleasure to support the club, but all the credit for this innings belongs to Freddie! Congratulations again on a fantastic performance.

What a way to celebrate 100 years of Portsmouth!

A huge congratulations to Dan Charlesworth from GRP Solutions and Alex Marenghi from Circuit Supply, who this morning successfully completed the Portsmouth Centenary Charity Abseil, descending 100 metres down the Spinnaker Tower in support of four incredible local charities.

Alongside a fantastic group of fellow fundraisers, Dan and Alex took on the 100m descent to help raise vital funds for causes that make a real difference across our community. It's a fantastic achievement and one we're incredibly proud to have seen them complete.

The challenge may be over, but there's still time to support their fundraising efforts. Every donation helps, and thanks to matched funding later this year, contributions will go even further in supporting the charities involved.

We’re always proud to support people turning good ideas into something real, especially when those ideas give back to the local community.

Recently, Brian and Michele had the chance to visit SPARK Community Spaceand get a hands-on look at LocalLinked, created by Luca Fredrick.

Luca, who also volunteers at Spark, has built an app designed to reward students for supporting local businesses, charities and independent organisations.

Users can earn points for visiting and spending locally, helping drive more support into the community while encouraging young people to shop local and discover what’s around them.

We’re especially proud that Brian has been able to mentor Luca throughout the journey and support the project’s development, including backing his funding application to help bring the platform to life.

It’s brilliant to see young entrepreneurs like Luca creating practical ideas that strengthen local connections and make a real difference. We’ll be cheering LocalLinked on as it grows.

The countdown is on…

On 29th May, Dan Charlesworth will be taking on the Portsmouth Centenary Charity Abseil at Spinnaker Tower, stepping over the edge and descending all 100 metres in support of charities making a real difference across the region.

Carol Pendrey recently visited Purewater Storage Ltd to meet with Hannah Jones and catch up with the team, taking a tour around the site and discussing their consumables business.

One thing that really stood out from the visit was the number of women across the team!It was great to see, and even better to bring everyone together for a photo.

As Carol put it, a real moment of “sisters in composites”.Carol’s relationship with Purewater goes back over 20 years, and visits like this are a great reminder of how strong those partnerships are.

GRP Solutions and Purewater have always been well aligned, and it’s brilliant to see how the business continues to grow, with new purchasing stores and ongoing investment across the site.Thanks to Hannah and the whole team for the warm welcome 😊

Taking on 100 metres for 100 years of Portsmouth.

On 29th May, Spinnaker Tower will be the backdrop for a pretty unique challenge as part of the Portsmouth Centenary Charity Abseil.

Our very own Dan Charlesworth from GRP Solutions, alongside Alex Marenghi from Circuit Supply Ltd, will be stepping over the edge and descending all 100 metres of the tower, helping to mark the city’s centenary in a way that’s hard to ignore.

It’s not just about stepping off a 100m drop. The event is raising vital funds for four charities making a real difference across the region, with all donations set to be doubled later this year through matched funding during the Christmas Appeals.

Last night, a team of 6 from GRP Solutions headed to Fratton Park for the CMA Recruitment Group charity quiz, raising funds for Fair Ways 🧠⚽

A great evening and some very mixed quiz knowledge, with 38 teams and over 240 people taking part.

It was great to support another local charity making a real difference. Fair Ways support children and young people in care, with a strong focus on fostering and helping them find stable, supportive homes and futures.

It also ties into something great happening locally, with Portsmouth becoming the UK’s first Foster Friendly City, where businesses and communities are working together to better support foster carers and the young people in their care.

A great morning helping to tidy up our local area. 🌿

Last Saturday, members of the GRP Solutions team joined Community Spotlight CIC for their monthly litter pick around Hilsea Station.

The clean-up forms part of the Hilsea Station Adoption Project, which encourages volunteers, groups and businesses to work together to improve the station and make it a more welcoming space.

Alongside litter picking, the project includes gardening, photography and other activities designed to connect people and enhance the local environment.

It was great to see the team getting involved, a simple way of doing the right thing and supporting our community.

Thank you to Community Spotlight CIC for the time and effort they put into improving the area.
