Something a little different…

Before and after .. An unused woodland space to a child’s paradise! 🛝👦🏼

Some very lucky little grandchildren have had fun this weekend playing in their new play area in the sunshine ☀️

Here we upgraded the shed, fenced the area, installed steps with rope hand rail and made use of the ground height difference by installing a climbing wall and slide, dug out and installed a trampoline, constructed a wooden balancing beam with stepping logs, built the outdoor play kitchen and sandpit and finished everything, with gravel and bark 😀

Previously gravel, here we:
✔️ Installed charcoal block pavers to create a border
✔️ Laid Vuba resin in colour Ipanema beach blend

A small but effective area instead of all tarmac or stones with weeds, a very smart clean finish ☺️

Another lovely garden finished in Barton 🏡

At this job we:
✔️ Removed existing Indian stone flags that were poorly laid
✔️Installed 56sqm of porcelain supplied by The Stone and Cobble Co
✔️ Levelled and reinstated artificial grass as it was sinking
✔️ Installed porcelain stepping stones
✔️ Installed Aco drains along the property

A completely different kind of project for us at 2G Properties was the completion of Bostonway community garden in Hawes Side Blackpool 🪴

This was a fantastic project by LeftCoast, the garden is used frequently by local residents with various on-going projects. We are proud to have laid the first of its kind eco-friendly alternative to concrete made out of waste whelk and scallop shells sourced at Fleetwood, developed by Prof Karl Williams at Uclan. Garden designed by Abi Kearney, www.landscapearchitecturebyabik.com

Here we:

✔️Installed oak sleeper raised beds
✔️Top soiled for planting
✔️ Laid 50sqm of seashell concrete 🐚
✔️ Installed stainless steel handrails
✔️ Painted existing fences
✔️ Built a bench and furniture out of pallets

To go back and see how this garden is used and is such a vital resource to residents is wonderful! We hope to be a part of more of these rewarding projects in the future 😃

See this stunning project we completed below, we transformed this large lawn at a newly built property into the most perfect garden! This garden was designed by our talented friend Abi Kearney, her website is www.landscapearchitecturebyabik.com ⛲️🪴

Works completed:

✔️Metal raised beds
✔️ Sphere stainless steel water feature
✔️ Vuba resin bound gravel path
✔️ Soft landscaping
