This is a boiler that has supposedly been serviced every year, as you can see, this clearly was not the case, or at least not serviced correctly. This Worcester boiler had a blown fan causing the boiler not to fire up. Upon further investigation it was found that the heat exchanger and condensate trap were blocked, the baffles inside the heat exchanger of the boiler were damaged, the burner gasket and electrodes were in extremely poor conditon causing fumes to escape affecting the boilers combustion as well as burn marks which also caused the retaining clamp to become damaged. The boiler is now up and running after replacing the blown fan, damaged parts and performing a major service.
