Always have plenty of odd jobs coming into the workshop. Back in summer a customer popped in to have his new traction engine crank journals ground. Specific radius faced into the stone for it too came out real nice!

Big Block Chevy
This has been a rollercoaster of a build, but it’s finally built. Fresh block, Pistons, Bearings and pretty much everything apart from the heads crank and rods! It was so tired this motor we were shocked it was still a torque monster! There was a huge list of issues from it having gone down to copper on the bearings to the main caps being too tight and even a camshaft that had been pounded on that bad it was 6 thou bent! The list goes on, looking forward to seeing what power it makes.

Been a bit quiet on here recently due to being so busy but here’s Mick’s Daimler Sovereign 2.4 bottom end we just finished up 👌🏽
Work done to bring this short motor back to life:
• Crank polished & new plugs fitted
• Block rebored +30 thou
• Block decked
• Oil pump rebuilt
• Every nut & bolt wire-wheeled, threads re-tapped, and 50 years of grime cleared out
