I am pleased to announce that I have passed my Npors adding categories test on the landfill compactor, i was put through my paces by the Npors monitor Phil Redfern who was shadowed by the new monitor for the Northwest Lenny Higson.

The importance of pre start checks, i was provided with this loading shovel for novice training, on the pre start inspection we noticed the pin on the lift arm was working it's way out. Refused to use the machine and another was provided, we had been told it had been checked over by the operator at the start of shift, the machine was sent to the service bay for repair.
Remember pre start checks are a legal requirement not a box ticking exercise
