At Cartmell Buildings, we love a leftfield project and here is one pictured. Our wonderful client’s down at Tregenna Castle Hotel in St. Ives, Cornwall, got in touch wanting us to supply and erect them a stunning new building.

Following a Gigantic increase in electricity costs in recent years, our client decided they needed a building which would be used to house a Combined heat and power Gas turbine. This would produce electricity to the hotel with the heat generated also being used to provide hot water with a supplementary immersion heater powered via Solar. Clever stuff!

This building provided was 28.250m(L) x 5.640m(w) x 4.000m(H) with multiple level changes.
In order to be in keeping with the local surroundings, our client opted for a black slate roof with Canadian western red cedar side cladding which we think looks bang on.

The building also has a colour coated roller shutter door and 4 No. personnel doors of various sizes. Ventilation louvres were also vital to allow proper ventilation to all the kit inside the building, all of which were supplied and installed by Cartmell Buildings.

Take a look at this Multi-gabled Industrial building that we manufactured and erected for our client in the Preston area, including a Laser levelled concrete floor and all external groundworks.

We were contacted with the brief of an extension to an existing industrial building in order to provide more warehousing space to facilitate an increase in distribution for our client.

📏18.000m(L) x 40.200m(W) x 4.950m(H) or
📏60ft(L) x 132ft(W) x 16ft(H) in old money.
✅ Juniper green Plastisol Metal cladding sheets
✅ Natural grey fibre cement roofing.
✅ PVC guttering with central galvanised valley gutter
✅ 0.500m high Concrete panels to form a dwarf wall to the building

Here are some images of a current project nearing completion down in Kent.

Our client contacted us, wanting a complete turnkey project to include all construction and concreting works.

This 20.000m(L) x 15.000m(W) x 4.500m(h) utilises galvanised steel with box profile cladding and roofing sheets with 2.000m high concrete panels. A roller shutter door was also specified along with 2 personnel doors.

One of our most recent projects in Salwick, Near Preston which is nearing completion:

After purchasing a plot of land, the first thing our customer required was a new building.

He subsequently decided on a 60ft x 40ft x 12ft building with a 2.000m apex extension to one gable end, which we think really finishes the building off nicely.

The project was specified with castle boarding, concrete panels, fibre cement roof material and steel finished in juniper green paint.

We also manufactured and installed bespoke, timber clad sliding doors to both gable ends.

Our latest delivery of steelwork for a 100ft x 50 ft x 26ft straw barn in Kent.

With harvest imminent, the timeliness for the construction of this straw barn was imperative. The lads on site managed to get this one up and roofed in 4 days.

A recently completed project for Brindle Distillery

Earlier in the year, the producers of the award winning Cuckoo Gin recently contacted us for the supply and construction of two 60ft x 60ft x 15ft mirrored cattle buildings.

Utilising slate blue side cladding, coloured fibre cement roof material & juniper green steelwork has yielded a really nice finished product ready for concreting.
