Engineering recruitment open day Turkey April 28/29/30

Ryanair Engineering – Prestwick ✈️ are hosting recruitment events in Istanbul and Antalya in April 2026.

If you are an experienced B1/ B2 or Sheetmetal worker, we want to speak to you. 🫵

Our base maintenance team will be in attendance to conduct on the spot interviews with candidates on Tuesday the 28th & Wednesday 29th of April in Istanbul. We will also be interviewing in Antalya on Thursday 30th April.

The new hangar expansion will see an additional four bays added to our existing site and will create 450 new highly skilled engineering posts; this includes 60 apprenticeships which offer outstanding pathways for individuals to become the next generation of Licensed Aircraft Engineers.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week is a reminder of how early opportunities can shape long, successful careers.

This week, Ryanair Engineering was proud to attend the CBI reception at Holyrood, where our General Manager, Victoria Lambert and Check Supervisor Chris Leitch met with Ben Macpherson MSP, Minister for Higher & Further Education and Angela Cox, the Principal & CEO of Ayrshire College, to discuss the positive impact apprenticeships have on individual career growth.

Pictured is Chris Leitch, who began his apprenticeship journey over 14 years ago. Having progressed from apprentice to Aircraft Mechanic, Licensed Engineer, Lead Mechanic, and now Check Supervisor, Chris is the perfect example—and the best placed voice—to highlight the real benefits and long-term opportunities that apprenticeships create. His career shows what’s possible when talent, training, and ambition come together.

We’re kicking off Scottish Apprenticeship Week by celebrating the fantastic talent developing across Ryanair Engineering, Delivered by PAML.

Throughout the week, we’ll be sharing photos of our apprentices building their skills, getting hands‑on with real maintenance tasks, and gaining the experience that will shape their future careers in aviation.

Since launching our apprenticeship programme in 2006, we’ve welcomed 237 apprentices into our engineering team at Prestwick, a significant contribution to developing the next generation of aircraft engineers.

A huge thank you to all our apprentices for your energy, hard work, and commitment.
