Mud. Machines and Teamwork. 💪

After a major burst water main, our team were called in to handle the full site clean-up and reinstatement — and what a job it was.

What we tackled:

✔ Filled and graded a huge excavation
✔ Shifted massive amounts of mud
✔ Ripped out & relaid damaged footpaths
✔ Replaced damaged block paving
✔ Replaced a section of chain link fence
✔ Topsoiled and seeded banks
✔ Cut and mulched trees
✔ Completed all site reinstatement works

Main fixed by the super-skilled Bristol Water engineers, site reinstated, and road back open within ONE WEEK. ✅

🚨 Emergency Call-Out? No Problem. 🚨

On New Year’s Eve, we received an urgent call to a burst water main, located on a busy slip road. The incident resulted in the closure of a bus stop, footpath and cycle lane,

We were asked to attend site immediately, assess the situation, and provide a quotation so the road and services could be reinstated as quickly as possible.

✅ Site attended and quoted on New Year’s Eve
✅ Quote accepted the same day
✅ Works commenced on New Year’s Day

Huge credit goes to our incredible team, who put professionalism first — refraining from celebrations the night before and giving up their New Year’s Day dinner to support our valued customer, Bristol Water.

Despite additional challenges, including quarries and suppliers being closed over the Christmas period, the team successfully:

Completed all works, within three days, including backfilling and removal of surplus materials, reinstatement of kerbs, construction of a reinforced concrete bus stop with mesh tied into the existing slab, and reinstatement of tarmac to the footpath.

This allowed the footpath, cycle lane, and bus stop to be reopened together promptly. 🚧

The concrete has been adequately protected to allow sufficient curing time in freezing weather conditions, and the barriers will be collected tomorrow.

🎉 Congratulations to Claire and Kieran! 🎉

We’re delighted to congratulate Claire, who passed her Class 1 licence first time just before Christmas — a fantastic achievement and well deserved. 🚛👏

In the very same week, Kieran also passed his HGV theory test first time, putting him one step closer to obtaining his full HGV licence.

We’re incredibly proud to support our staff in gaining additional qualifications, helping them to develop their skills and progress their careers. Brilliant results from both 👌

🚧 Before • During • After – Driveway Transformation! 🏡✨

Our latest project shows what a difference proper groundwork and a quality finish can make!

This customer got in touch looking to renew their tired-looking driveway, which had areas of sinkage and missing path edgers. The driveway was original to the house—and it showed.

🔍 Upon excavation, we discovered the sub-base had never been properly compacted, which explained the sinking issues. We put that right by:

✅ Removing the old surface
✅ Rebuilding and topping up the sub-base with fresh Type 1
✅ Adjusting all covers to suit the new levels
✅ Installing new path edgers where needed
✅ Laying a strong AC20 binder course
✅ Finishing with a smooth SMA 6mm wearing course

Our close friends recently built a stunning new home, and they asked us to complete the look with a brand-new driveway — and we were more than happy to help!

We got straight to work:
✅ Carefully prepared and shaped the area, taking out any soft/low spots
✅ Laid a solid stone foundation where required, topping with an AC20 binder
✅ Finished with a smooth 10mm SMA tarmac surface
