JOB OPPORTUNITY: Fire Stopper (full training will be given)
Applicants must possess a clean full UK driving licence and hold a current CSCS card.
Due to continued growth and expansion Fire Technology International Ltd are seeking to employ a Fire Stopper, you will be responsible for the installation of fire stopping products and associated works to multiple sites within the London and South East region.
You will be joining a long standing member of the fire protection industry. This role would suit a multi-trade/partially qualified tradesman looking to add a new skill set and build a career for the future. We currently boast a very healthy order book and are keen to add the right candidate(s) to our friendly experienced team. The successful candidate will receive full on the job training and will be required to attend further product installation training.
Benefits will include 28 days annual holidays (inc bank holidays), pension, start rate negotiable dependant on experience and location, plus overtime and out allowance.

A little update from our works at Dementia Village for Jenner

We have been tasked with providing the fire stopping works in this Care Facility to achieve a 60 minute fire rating

We are very pleased with the work that has been carried out so far

Some examples of our work from one of our previous projects - DSP - Aldi

This was a £50 million project to open a new huge distribution centre, with DSP as the main contractor. Here we provided 60 minute fire protection coatings to exposed timber joints and decking within the main warehouse - supplied and sprayed/brushed applied application of adhesion primer and clear intumescent coatings and top coat.
We also provided additional fire stopping works within stair areas and the main warehouse, including Fire stopping/air sealing to service penetrations and associated works

A few updates from our project at Kings International College - At this college we are to supply and install cavity fire barriers to vertical joints, windows, door openings etc.
To supply and spray specialist fire timber coatings to achieve the require class 0 spread of flame fire protection.

Fire stop open risers/ service penetrations through compartment slabs/floors by using both non load and load bearing fire stops - This is achieved by carefully scribing, cutting and friction fitting thick high density coated fire batt in and around multiple services within riser - sealing all edges, joints and abutments with intumescent mastics and sealants including wraps and collars if required.

Also, adding fire mortars filling the aperture to a depth of 100mm and trowled for an even finish
