Investing in the next generation of technical expertise is a big priority for us at Flambeau Europe.

We recently partnered with Sierra 57 Consult Ltd to carry out a comprehensive training needs assessment for our trainees. This gave us a much clearer understanding of current capability levels and helped us build a more tailored development programme based on both existing skill sets and the direction we want to take the business.

For the business, that means stronger internal capability, better succession planning, and a clearer route to developing the skills we need for the future.

For our trainees, it means something just as important: a more structured pathway for development, training that is better matched to their individual needs, and greater confidence in how they can continue to grow their technical skills over time.

Developing talent from within has become more important than ever, and working with Sierra is already proving hugely valuable in helping us create a stronger future for both the business and the people building their careers within it.

We’re excited to share that Flambeau Europe will be at Interplas 2026 from 2nd–4th June at the NEC Birmingham.

This year, we’ll be part of a special collaboration with BOLE Machinery, who will be running our Mini Flexi Tub tool live on-site to manufacture the popular giveaways during the event.

It’s a great opportunity to see injection moulding in action, catch up with the team, and be part of one of the key events in the plastics and manufacturing calendar.

You’ll find BOLE Machinery in Hall 9, Stand T90, and the Flambeau Europe team will be there throughout the show.

We’re looking forward to it already and hope to see plenty of familiar faces there.

We’re incredibly proud to share that Flambeau Europe has won the Best Leadership Award in the Manufacturing category at the National Business Awards UK. 🏆

This is a huge moment for our business, and one that means a great deal to us after everything the last 12 months have brought. It recognises the strength, resilience and leadership that has helped guide Flambeau Europe through challenge, growth and continued progress.

A special congratulations goes to our Managing Director, John Wingfield, whose calm, decisive and people-first leadership has played a huge role in helping move the business forward.

We’re proud to manufacture in Ramsgate, Kent, a part of the UK with a huge amount of character, culture and history all around it.

From Dover Castle and the White Cliffs to Canterbury Cathedral, Royal Harbour Ramsgate, Dreamland, the Shell Grotto, Ramsgate Tunnels and the Turner Contemporary, this corner of the country has so much to be proud of.

For us, being based here is not just about location on a map. It is about being part of a place with real identity... and manufacturing in a region that has its own story to tell.

Kent gives us a strong base, great connections, and a location we are proud to call home.

From 1947 to today... A lot has changed, but the mindset has stayed the same.

These images tell a story of progression across Flambeau’s history, from our first injection moulding machine in the US in 1947 to the advanced machinery, robotics and automation supporting production at Flambeau Europe in Ramsgate today.

They also show how far the business has evolved, from early products like our first fishing bait frog to the precision-moulded components and customer solutions we now produce for brands like Makita here in the UK.

And on the European side, from moving into the Ramsgate facility in 1999 to what that same site looks like in 2026, the difference is clear: continued investment, expanding capability, and a business that has kept moving forward.

For us, longevity is about building, adapting, improving, and continuing to deliver.
