We would like to say a big thank you to for hosting this months meeting and all the members who attended. It was a privilege to listen to the first year T-Level students who presented to the group. It take courage to stand in front of a large group of construction professionals and talk about what you want to do in the future. Our members got the chance to talk with the students after the presentations and give advice and encouragement. We look forward to seeing the up and coming students develop into our future professionals.

A huge thank you to the Construction Development Alliance (CDA) for hosting such a fantastic festive event at The Whitaker - Rossendale Museum and Art Gallery!

Oliver Baynes and John Boys were delighted to attend on behalf of B&E Boys, with John returning after enjoying last year’s event too.

As proud members of the CDA, we really value the opportunity to grow our network, strengthen professional relationships across the industry, and connect with other businesses who share our commitment to high standards in construction and development.

The morning included a brilliant Christmas Quiz and plenty of relaxed breakfast networking - the perfect way to round off the year with some festive cheer.

The bank holiday weekend and half term is nearly upon us! 😀

If you’re planning any DIY jobs in the home during this period then we would always advise for you to have a refurbishment survey completed.

Why we hear you ask? 🤔

Well, it’s simple, even though it’s not a legal requirement for home owners (this changes if you are instructing any contractor) it’s always worth being thorough and ensuring that you are not putting yourself at risk of coming into contact with asbestos. As asbestos was banned in 1999, it is likely to be found in properties built before 2000.

As well as a refurbishment survey we would also recommend you thoroughly read the instructions and watch manufacturer’s videos of how to fit a face mask properly and the conditions in which it creates a seal on your skin e.g. being clean shaven.

Alternatively, you could have a face fit test to be sure the mask is suitable for you.
