What That Weird Boiler Noise Actually Means π
Have you ever heard your boiler making strange noises and wondered if itβs about to explode? Donβt panic - hereβs a quick guide:
- Kettling (like a kettle boiling):
This could mean limescale build-up. Itβs common in hard water areas like ours - but means your boilerβs working overtime. This can usually be fixed with a boiler service and clean.
- Banging or Clanking:
This could be air in the system, loose pipes, or a pump problem. But does mean itβs time for a check-up.
- Whistling or Gurgling:
Often caused by trapped air or low water pressure. Usually a simple fix - but best not ignored.
If it sounds odd, itβs definitely worth checking.
Catching issues early = cheaper repairs later!
