Natural Heat Centre Woodburning Stoves and Biomass Systems The story so far...

We're a nice bunch at the Natural Heat Centre. We like wood and we like woodburning stoves.

Together they tick a lot of boxes. Where do you start with the wonder of wood? Man's been burning it since the dawn of civilisation to cook and keep warm (“Ug!”) and it's even more relevant today than ever. It's a sustainable fuel that's 100% carbon neutral. That means if trees are grown and harvested responsibly then we'll never run out of wood – unlike that fossil fuel stuff (Interesting fact #2

Young trees take in (and need!) loads of CO2 in order to grow and then they naturally release it when they die and go to that big forest in the sky. It's the circle of life (where's Elton John when you need him?). So the effect on the environment is zero with no impact on greenhouse gases, the Ozone layer or global warming. If more of us burned wood from sustainable sources to heat our homes instead of oil, gas or coal then we'd preserve these valuable resources for other needs, reduce the need for nuclear plants and protect our precious environment.
