Warning potential hazard - This is what could happen if you leave your extension lead rolled up whilst using it. This was one we recently found in a theatre, the drum had melted due to the heat from the rolled up lead.

Details - The product presents a risk of electric shock, the plug pins are noncompliant with the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard (BS1363-1) and the plug does not incorporate a suitable protective fuse, in addition the earth pin is partly insulated which is not permitted.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

What to do next - If you believe you have an affected product stop using it immediately and contact the retailer for further advice.
