FROM OLD & TIRED… TO A COMPLETE GARDEN TRANSFORMATION
This one is worth watching right through to the end.
When we first arrived, this garden had an extensive area of old, weathered paving, tired fencing and a layout that simply wasn’t making the best use of the space.
The customer gave Curb Appeal Northern the opportunity to take care of the entire transformation — from the initial ideas and design right through to the finishing touches.
And this is the result after just 2–3 weeks.
We didn’t simply come in and lay a new surface. Our team completed the whole project from start to finish, including:
• Full garden design and planning
• Removal of the existing paving and unwanted materials
• Excavation, groundwork and preparation
• Designing the new flowing, curved layout
• Installation of the charcoal block edging
• Installation of the light-grey resin-bound surface
• Ground and soil preparation
• New lawn installation
• Construction of the new timber fencing
• Preparation and painting of the fencing in grey
• Installation of the solar up-and-down fence lights
• Removal of all rubbish and waste from the project
• Final detailing and complete clean-down
One of the biggest things a project like this demonstrates is the importance of trusting the process.
Major landscaping work can look messy while it’s happening. There are excavations, piles of materials, waste, exposed ground and different stages of construction happening at the same time.
Sometimes it can actually look worse before it looks better.
But there is a plan behind every stage.
When a customer has faith in their contractor and gives the team the freedom to carry out the design properly, this is what can happen.
The curves soften the entire garden and lead naturally around the property. The charcoal edging provides definition against the light resin. The lawn brings the colour back into the space, while the newly built and painted fencing completely changes the backdrop.
Then, as the finishing touch, the solar lighting brings the fencing to life at night with the distinctive up-and-down light pattern.
