Work carried out at PGL Winmarleigh Hall (near Preston North End area):

The existing building is of older construction and had developed a leak issue. Investigation found that water was accumulating within the parapet. This was caused by a build-up of mud and debris, which had blocked the outlet and prevented rainwater from draining away effectively. As a result, water levels were rising and tracking under the existing leadwork, leading to internal leaks.

To resolve the issue and prevent recurrence, the following works were completed:

* The leadwork was fully renewed and correctly dressed.
* All surrounding joints were repointed to ensure a watertight seal.
* The waste outlet was cleared of all debris and blockages.
* The waste pipe was repaired/re-routed to ensure proper drainage.
* An additional overflow pipe was installed to act as a secondary outlet in the event of future blockages or excessive water build-up.

These measures ensure improved drainage and provide a fail-safe system to prevent water accumulation and future leaks.

Excavation and concrete works to an outhouse waste tank, including digging out the surrounding area and installing a concrete surround/base.

Weekend plastering job completed ✔️

Finished plastering a tricky stair wall with exposed brick, the bulkhead under the stairs, and the utility room wall. The brickwork was prepped and levelled before a fresh skim to give a smooth, clean finish.

Nice transformation and all ready for paint once fully dry. Always satisfying turning rough surfaces into a smooth finish.

We helped a lovely lady update her bathroom by removing her old bath, which had become hard to climb in and out of.

She now has a beautiful walk-in shower that’s not only safer but also looks fantastic. Comfort and peace of mind all in one 🚿✨
