Thanks to everyone at Cornwall RFU for hosting us yesterday at Camborne RFC for the Bill Beaumont County Championship clash with Kent Rugby. We were very well looked after by everyone from both Cornwall and Camborne; it was great to catch up with other sponsors, with special mention to the catering by Cornwall College, very well received by all 😋

Huge thanks to our guests for making it such a great day and bringing their voices to cheer on the as Cornwall ran out 73-14 winners in a fantastic, fast paced, high impact game of rugby.

experienced it’s wettest January on record in 2026. This month alone saw 267.6 mm of rain - just as we undertook a roof replacement on this site!

Now we’re covered in, it’s time to dry out any last residual moisture.

Working with our friends at Richfords Fire & Flood, dehumidifiers connected to the roof structure, running continuously will remove any moisture that may have become trapped during the wet spell.

On completion an official dryness certificate will be issued confirming the structure meets the required thresholds allowing progression to the next phase.

Big thanks to the whole team for stepping up over recent months - super early starts, working late into the night and over the weekends (something we don’t often need to do!) to progress the projects and complete critical works when fewer people were around.

The dedication, adaptability and teamwork really has kept the projects on track and made a huge difference.

Getting the scaffold stripped and loaded away from a tight access, busy city centre site always needed to be well planned out of normal working hours.

It was great to see the last of the scaffold from the front elevation dismantled on Wednesday evening this week.
