We carry out all exterior building repairs and maintenance work on domestic and commercial buildings, such as guttering repair or replacement, all aspects of roofing from repointing the ridge tiles and replacing missing slates to full re-roofing and lead work. We repair or replace windows, doors, facia boards, fencing and gates. We repoint walls and chimneys, build garages and extensions, lay concrete drives and paths and do all exterior decorating. In fact, we are able to carry out any work that you may require to keep your property's appearance, structure and value in good condition.

Experienced Plasterer required within a small company carrying out specialist damp proofing & basement conversions, principally working in North Yorkshire, Teesside, York & West Yorkshire.

Experience in all types of plastering & rendering (achieving a high standard of finish) is required.

Previous experience in damp proofing would be an advantage, however training will be given.

Works will involve using specialist backing plasters, plasterboard dry-lining, both dot & dab and framework, occasional vaulted ceilings.

Good working conditions, and company van supplied.

Permanent position with some overtime available.

Must be conscientious and reliable.

Salary to be discussed at interview stage, and will depend on skills & experience.

These works started as a damp proofing job and soon grew into something much bigger! 🏠

Whilst at the property we –
🧱 Complete damp proofing works to whole ground floor + a bedroom – this included stripping out the kitchen fittings, skirting boards, cupboards & the fireplace, removing radiators, removing the wall plaster, drilling & injecting our damp-proof course, applying a waterproof membrane to the walls, plaster boarding, skimming
🧱 Applied a masonry water repellent cream to the whole of the gable wall
🧱 Removed kitchen ceiling, re-board & skim
🧱 Created a new understairs cupboard door, building up the original doorway
🧱 Removed & replaced the dining room, hall & front room floorboards & joists
🧱 Extended plastering in the dining room & front room
🧱 Made the fire opening bigger, replacing a lintel & applying a heat proof render
🧱 Fit all new skirting boards to the ground floor

‼ Works completed! ‼

Whilst carrying out damp proofing works at this property near , we investigated issues to one of the bay windows. Through this, we found additional works were needed to this area!

So, what did we do?
🔨 Installed props from the bedroom floor to the bay ceiling
🔨 Removed the skirting board, timber sill, brackets, and plaster to lift floorboards to see the joists and timber frame
🔨 Deglazed the window, dismantled the frames, and removed the UPVC sill
🔨 Cut out any rotten sections of timber in the bay and replaced with pre-treated timbers
🔨 Refit the windowsill and frames, fitting a flashing and damp-proof course below the sill
🔨 Stripped the felted bay window roof & renewed with a fibre glass covering, edges and trims
🔨 Installed eaves trays below the bottom roof tiles to extend into the gutter
🔨 Refit the glazing, timber windowsill & brackets
🔨 Insulate, plasterboard and skim
🔨 Replaced the skirting board
